Dylan Almodiel
Dylan Almodiel is a freshman at San Pedro High School. He attended Fleming Middle School and received many awards such as Principal’s Honor Roll for three consecutive years,  CJSF, and journalism awards. Dylan was one of five editors of Fleming’s newspaper “The Fleming Focus” as well as a member of the staff who started the newspaper at Fleming for the first time in ten years. He decided to join journalism simply because he had always been interested in making a newspaper. Working as a journalist, Dylan made many friends who are now family to him as well as created many memories that will stay with him forever. “Fleming’s journalism staff has had a huge impact on my life” says Dylan Almodiel.

Dylan grew up in Florence, California as an only child. During his free time, he likes to watch YouTube, Netflix, and play video games. He spends the rest of his time at school with friends or volunteering at his church. Dylan is also an amazing pianist. He enjoys playing at home and is always looking forward to learning new songs. In the future, he wants to go to UC Berkeley and major in journalism. “I look forward to finishing school and becoming a journalist,” he says.  Surely, Dylan will become an amazing journalist.
