“It’s starting to feel like the word Infinity in Avengers: Infinity War refers to the time fans have been waiting to see the movie’s trailer…” says Gael Cooper from CNET.

The long-awaited Avengers: Infinity War trailer was finally released on the morning of November 29, 2017 following the release of the teaser trailer the day before. According to Marvel Studios, the trailer set records for the “Most-Viewed Trailer”, gaining a marvelous 230 million views across all forms of media in just the first 24 hours.

It was previously viewed by fans on Good Morning America that same Wednesday morning. Other lucky fans were exposed to a different trailer back in July at the D23 Expo and Comic Con 2017. But why is this such an incredibly hyped movie?

With 17 Marvel  movies (18 after the release of Black Panther on February 16, 2018)  in the can; all 18 films Marvel has released have been building up to the final war. As IMDb puts it, “The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will culminate, bringing their riveting storyline to an end with the release of Avengers 4 in 2019. But don’t worry, if you enjoyed Marvel’s movies as much as I did, they will continue feeding us with their shocking motion pictures. So if you are anticipating the release of Avengers: Infinity War, May 4 is right around the corner. See you all at the theater!
