Did you miss your chance of going to the Black History Month Assembly? From poems to dances here’s the coverage of what happened. This year’s hosts were Jalani Blade, Rae’ven Knight, and Maya Richardson. Adding onto the list, we had special help from video techs Margarita Ramirez and Amanda Hernandez. The assemblies included:

Poetry:

  • “Ego Trippin’” read by Maya Richardson and Rae’ven Knight
  • “The Negro Speaks of Rivers” presented by Jalani Blade
  • “The Black Family Pledge” read by Angel Duarte, Lucia Osuji, Maureen Anyadike, Jazmin Gerard, Patience Okeke, and Chinoyerem Ndukwe
  • “America” by Claude Mckay, read by Mr. Bell
